Beam me up

I finally got my very own iPhone. I feel very grown up now, and like I've joined the real world haha. I also painted my house this week and its only Monday! Very productive. I'm loving it, except for the fact that Erik left for Idaho on Saturday and won't be back for a couple weeks 😞 Ar least I have Vega to keep me company 😃

tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it.

We bought a house.

We did.

I'm so overwhelmed and happy and everything all rolled into one. I don't know what to think. I've wanted this for so long that now that it's here i just don't know what to feel. I'm so grateful to Erik for jumping in with both feet and having faith that we can actually do this. It really makes me think back though to how I actually got to this point in my life. It makes me miss the people who at the time, I never would have thought that would influence me so much, like both my grandpas who passed away about 7 years ago around this time of the year. It was the hardest thing that I've ever been through and hopefully will be through. I just so hope that our house and everything that comes after will be absolutely wonderful. As I sit here watching Anne of Green Gables I just hope that I can be as tenatious as Anne, just as I've always wanted to be.

curioser and curioser

I can feel it! Halloween is comming! Things are getting strange! The air always gets a little bit thinner and a little bit crisper. People start getting a little bit more edgy too it seems like. Not always in a bad way, but I think subconsiously they know that the spooks are out and about. *insert witcy laugh here* ;-) I just love this season!

"workin at the car wash"

Okay, so I didn't actually "work" at the car wash. I just sat in the car while Erik did all the work ;-) But! I did rake leaves at his grandma's prior to the car wash, so I did actually work at some point last night haha! I even got twenty dollars out of the deal so the blisters on my hands are a little more worth it!
We really didn't end up doing too much else yesterday. I had to work-because I work every single day :-( and didn't end up getting to his shop until really late. We had to rush right over to his grandma's for dinner, which was very good-as always, but I think it was too rich or something because my tummy is not loving me today! After dinner it was super dark out and we washed the mustang then went for a drive out in the country. I looove doing the last part :-) It is a little bit better when we can actually see out of the car, but it's kind of exciting when it's so dark out. It feels like we're doing something dangerous-partly because I guess we are. There are a ton of deer out right now and I get totally nervous that we're going to hit them, so there's the danger factor haha.

That top picture is of our sweet little kitty! We put her in my jeep just for a mintue and she found Vega's toys! Aw! So cute!!!
Well, I'm off to go start Christmas shopping! My goal is to be done by Thanksgiving. I think if I start now, I should be!

all we are saying...

I am in such a slump these days. I just can't seem to shake it! I've tried going outside, reading a book, listening to music, writing, drawing, all of it! I just really am in the slump deep I guess. I usually love this time of year too...the leaves changing are my favorite, and all the scents-mmh! But this year-something is different. I feel very anxious about things. I'm a little nervous nelly and I'm not loving it. I think I just need a vacation. Most of the girls from work got to go to Kansas City this weekend to "get away from it all" and I got stuck being the one to man the post. I feel like a wreck. I work allllll the time and it's really getting to me I think. I like what I do though, so I really can't complain about that, but I really don't like how much I do it haha. There's also been thoughts in my head about going back to school. School is always good, but the time and money it would take to go isn't so much. Who knows. I'm hoping that this bright and sunny fall day will be enough to take my edge off!

It's just been one of those days, ya know? I must have just woken up on the wrong side of something or had the wrong flavor coffee. Who knows. I did have a good time with Erik tonite though. I always do :-) Tuesdays are our days. They happen to be my favorite days of all! He always comes right over after he gets off of work and we go out to eat at our favorite place ever-Cracker Barrell -yum!!! He drove the mustang too, which does make things just a little more fun, even if it is just going out to dinner :-) He's such a good guy and I'm very lucky to have him.

I guess I get to thinking this way around this time of year because four years ago we started dating around this time! We don't really have an exact date, but we kind of just go with Halloween as our anniversary. I do know that today isn't Halloween, but I was just feeling the love I guess :-)

do the monster mash

We had the greatest time tonite! Well, I had the greatest time today really! It was a sort-of warm fall day and so no jacket was needed, which for some reason made things feel interesting. And it was! I baked yummy chocolate cookies first thing today. Vega was running around playing and I had all the windows open so the warm breeze could come right on in. Fabulous. After that a friend and I went to another friends bridal shower. I love happy events. Bridal showers, bday parties, anything really haha. I just love when people are happy :-0

See? Happy. Then Erik came over and we got ready for my friend from work's halloween party! I got to do his makeup and everything! I was Wednesday Addams and he was my zombie boyfriend.

I loved my friend's Smurfette costume! She did an amazing job on it! We had so much fun, but by the end of the night my head was so sore from my wig haha but i didn't care, i loved my outfit-which was just my normal clothes really so I might just wear it again!
