Days Go By...

I am loving the weather right now! It's still summer, but it feels like a crisp early fall. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. There is just something magical about the transition times of the year like fall and spring. Maybe it's the new smells that come with rain or changing weather. Well, whatever it is, it makes for some very happy times for me! I think Vega likes it too :-) She seems to be happier and more cuddley! Gotta love cuddling puppies!

The first three pictures are from when Erik and I went to pick up a new flathead motor for him a couple hours away. He made fun of me because I wore a yellow lace dress to pick up a greasy motor, but I explained to him that you just never know when you're going to need to brighten somebodies day with a bright yellow dress :-) The pictures after that are from the beautiful Pioneer Park in Lincoln where we got to see Crosby, Stills and Nash! We could only take pictures of the park because they wouldn't let us take cameras in to take pictures of the concert. I guess I can understand that. I still would have loved to take pictures of it though, especially when they played Wooden Ships! Just like being at Woodstock! haha, not so much :-)

Keep Your Head Up

I woke up today with a sense of urgency. I feel like I need to live my life. And I mean that in the sense that all I do is work. I have no time to enjoy anything in life. I want to do and experiance so many things, but I was raised to not do so. I was raised to work. Work some more, and when all that's done, go ahead and do just a little bit more. But unfortunatly my parents are not the happiest, and I would hate to end up that way. My boyfriend is a very free spirt. Nobody and nothing can hold him down. Yes, he still works, but he finds time to do all the wonderful things that he can. He is one of those people who uses all of the hours in the day. So today, my friends, I have woken up with the decision that I am going to be like that as well. Look forward to many many more fun posts and see where our adventures are going to take us! :-D

Oh my. Busy busy busy. I feel like I've been running around at a thousand miles an hour! Work is fun and the girls-and boy!-i work with are super, but it gets so tiring not ever being at home. We're also in the proccess of finding an actual home, so that adds to things :) I do love that I'm busy though. I'm a person that just can't sit still so as much as I complain, I actually am glad that I'm not just sitting around-not that I probably could! :-D One of my friends at the spa 'chalked' my hair the other day. I've always wanted pink hair, and this was a really fun way to try it out!

I know the pictures aren't the greatest, but I wanted to take them before I forgot to haha. It really is a pretty fun thing to do. All you do is just wet the hair a little and then color on it with whatever color chalk you want! How fun!

I also took a few random pictures that don't really belong anywhere, so here they are just for fun...

Down at 'The Shop'

So, my boyfriend is absolutely obsessed with cars. Old cars. I like them a lot as well, but not even close to the amount that he does :-) We end up spending a lot of time at his shop because of this obsession, and usually I get bored which results in some fun pictures!

It's kinda fun how everything looks old in the pictures! It's always like walking back into the 50's or 60's when you go inside :-) Love it! Well, that's how our summer has been going so far. Just spending toasty summer nights out at the shop, and of course out at the lake with miss Vega! She's the best! Hope everybody is enjoying the weather and people you love wherever you're at!

so they say it's your birthday...

Hello all! It is my birthday today and I must say, I have had one of the best ones that I have had in a very long time! I woke up to my boyfriend bringing me tickets to see Mr. Jack White in August- he happens to be one of my faves! Then the boyfriend took me shopping (uh, what girly wouldn't love that?!) and then we went to the zoo! When we got home after our exciting zoo adventure, my mom had brought home cupcakes and macaroons! delish! Such a good day! I'm so very blessed to have such super people in my life :-)

This last picture has to be the best. That's my Erik for sure! Well, I hope you all have had as great of a day as I have!

What a World, What a Life...

Things are actually going okay! I got my new job-which hopefully means eventually I'll only have to have one...I can't even imagine how amazing that will be! But...haha I don't know what I'd do with the extra time, so we'll see if I can actually handle that :-) Erik and I put a bid on a house yesterday-they countered and they countered too high, so we ended up not going for it, but it gave me a little bit more hope :-) I just can't wait to get a place of our own! I've already got it decorated in my mind haha. Well, here's some fun lil pictures of our trip to Lincoln the other day! Enjoy!

Here Comes the Sun...

I am so excited for the warm weather!!! It smells good, it feels good, the sounds are good. Everything is just good :-) Yesterday was a fantastic day, I only had to run into work for a minute, then went home and got Vega and went out to Erik's shop in the marvelous warmth.

Sometimes you just have to be goofy haha, it makes things waay more fun!
