Last thursday my boyfriend and i set out on a road trip to rapid city, sd. we were going to look at the hot rod institute for him to see if he might possibly want to go there. it was going to be a great time! and it started out that way, lots of fun and lots of highway, which we love :-) it was all great like that until about 4 hrs into the trip my car decided to lose oil pressure. We had to stop in a little town called ainsworth and fix my problem, which took 2 days. We ended up deciding not to keep on truckin and head back home instead. i felt horrible about it, but my boyfriend was awesome and said we'd just try to go again another time. I did manage to get some pictures of the lovely town that we were in though lol, here they are!

so this is just a few pictures of me from the other day before work. i think the mixture of boredom and a digital camera worked well together.

the last one was kind of a practice shot, but i liked it anyways. today we're having another snow day here in the midwest. it was horrible out last nite! definate blizzard conditions. i would more than love to go live somewhere south were that isn't the norm for winter. i guess we just have to roll with the punches though! well, i hope that everbody has a super day with whatever you're doing and whoever you're with! i'm off to go color my hair!

come back kid

i've decided to make a comeback for my blog! it's going to be a slow go but it's going to happen thanks to the fact that we got a new computer! hopefully i'll get a couple followers in the weeks to come. it's going to happen people! so keep an eye out for some wonderful things hopefully soon :-)

Frustrated

I'm still trying to get into the blogging thing, but like i said before, our computer crashed and my dad's laptop is running the show. I haven't figured out how to find my pictures that ive saved and it's all just so frustrating. On a lighter note! I'm going to get my hair cut and I'm going to start and ebay shop! So if you happen upon this blog, don't give up on me! I'll have something comming soon! Promise! :-)

Music!

I'm starting to think I'm really bad at this whole blogging thing. I want to get into it, but for some reason things just keep getting in the way! Our computer crashing with all my pictures was a huge one :-( So for now I guess it'll just be words instead. I am however very into at the moment some great music. My brother recently introduced me to the group Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Love them! It's so funny though, because I used to listen to Ima Robot and it's the same guy! uhh what?! haha completly different, but both pretty great. I'm learning to play Karen Elsons' songs on my guitar, which sound pretty magical if i do say so myself :-) And also Hot Chip. I didn't think I liked them at first, but I actually do! I love it when fall is right around the corner! My mood just changes, everything seems to get a little bit sweeter :-) Music sounds better, clothes fit better, my hair looks better in the pretty fall colors haha. yay! Well, I guess that's just about it for this morning, hopefully our computer will be up soon, and there will be some pictures to go along with all my words!

Sometimes I just get so frustrated with the way things are going. It just seems like all the good stuff came and went and now i'm just stuck here and trying to figure things out and it's just not working out very well. I'm about to graduate school, but trying to get a job in the midwest when you dress like you belong in San Francisco or something is always somewhat of a challenge. Does anybody else have that problem, or is it just me? I have great experiance on my resume, so it's not that. I'm just pretty sure that it's the way that I dress. Frustrating. And the lady that we heard talk today about being an Esty just didn't make me feel soo much better. "if you plan on making money, then you're in the wrong postition!" uhh...I hope to make money- at least a little! Jeez. I guess I just need to sit back and breathe. Tangled up in Blue

I passed my diploma test at school!!! That's big news in our world of Esthetic students! Pretty much everybody else passed which was awesome as well! Other than that, not too much has been going on. I was going to go talk to a local modeling place about doing some modeling but at the moment, it's just waaay too expensive. It seemed like they were more concerned about when I was setting up my payment plan than actually worring about if I had the money to do it. Not a great feeling when you don't actually feel like you're wanted. In other news! I drew a neato tattoo on Eriks arm this evening! 

I kinda really love it! lol His mom didn't seem thrilled about it though when she saw it haha, she said that he'd better not actually get it or she wouldn't be happy. I'm pretty sure that he wants full sleeves though, so uh oh! He's in trouble! I thought i'd also share my picture that I took of my new scarf while I was driving out to Eriks house...

It's super pretty, all diferent kinds of fabrics and prints! So fun and cute! And those sunglasses used to be white, but I lost my absolute favorite brown ones and I couldn't stand those being white so we spray painted these lol, we didn't primer then though so the brown paint is comming off and the white is commin back! I better just find my faves. On another note! Bob Dylan is going to be in Lincoln! I'm pretty gosh darn excited! I've never seen him before but my friend has and said he was great! We are so going! Woohoo! Well, I guess that's it for now, I hope all is well with everbody! tata! :-)
